PILATES

At Fisiolab, we have individual and group Clinical Pilates classes. The individual and personalized Clinical Pilates classes are conducted by a Physiotherapist with specific training in Clinical Pilates, who will perform an initial postural assessment of muscle and joint function, later developing a specific exercise program for you. The Physiotherapist will accompany you throughout the classes and will adjust the exercises to your evolution!

The group Pilates classes are designed for a reduced number of participants (8 to 10 people), allowing the Physiotherapist to be closer and more attentive to each participant, guiding and correcting the execution of the exercises during the whole session.

Our Clinical Pilates classes follow the Pilates method of the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute (APPI) which consists of dynamic stability training on the mat, using various devices (balls, rollers, elastic bands, magic circle, among others). It is a set of exercises modified from Traditional Pilates, which is safe and effective, and can be practised by anyone of any age, including those with pathologies.

Clinical Pilates contributes to improving posture and motor function, as well as improving strength, flexibility and body awareness. In addition to working the deep muscles of the body, it aims to work the mind, contributing to the overall reduction of stress, improving your physical condition and emotional well-being.
